Key Responsibilities:

  • Code Review and Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of physician charges against medical records and applicable documentation to determine accurate code assignments for diagnoses and services provided (CPT/HCPCS codes).
  • Billing and Coding Compliance: Understand and ensure compliance with billing and coding requirements for government and commercial payers.
  • Data Abstracting and Entry: Abstract statistical data from patient records and enter information according to facility guidelines.
  • Accuracy and Quality Control: Maintain a high level of accuracy, with a minimum of 95% accuracy rate.

Requirements:

  • Certifications: CPC, CPMA, RHIA, RHIT, CCS-P, and/or CCS certification.
  • Experience: 1 year of physician coding and auditing experience, with a preference for multi-specialty experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of auditing and/or coding with CPT/HCPCS/ICD10 diagnosis and PCS.
