The Culinary Support Specialist is responsible for preparing meals for various catering functions. This role includes delivering, setting up, dismantling, and serving during these events.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals for catering events, ensuring timely delivery and setup.
  • Bake and deliver pastries to designated locations. Assist with setup and service as required.
  • Maintain an updated record of catering functions in the designated binder.
  • Communicate daily with production teams regarding hot food requirements.
  • Order linens, equipment rentals, flowers, and other necessary supplies as needed.
  • Assemble and deliver supplies to various departments and units.
  • Complete monthly billing for department supplies and catering services.
  • Assist in production roles as needed.
  • Ensure catering storage and food preparation areas are maintained in a clean and inspection-ready state.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in cooking or food production.
  • At least 1 year of experience in catering.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in catering.
  • 3+ years of culinary experience.
  • Servsafe or Food Safety Manager certification.
  • Completion of a 2-year culinary program.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform various physical tasks.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, loud environments, and slippery conditions may occur.
  • Driving may be required for certain tasks.

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage of $21.63 plus benefits.
