Speech Language Pathologist - Part Time

The Resource Center is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in assessing and evaluating individuals' needs, developing and implementing service plans to meet those needs, and providing direct therapy services to a specified caseload.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform and document evaluations and treatments through the use of service plans, progress notes, six-month summaries, and discharge summaries in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop programs in speech and language therapy and provide direct therapy to a specified caseload, according to treatment plans.
  • Document individual progress at least monthly and on a semi-annual basis.
  • Attend inter-agency and intra-agency meetings and in-service training programs as required.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations for augmentative speaking devices and assist in procuring funding for said devices.
  • Recommend individuals for other services, as the need arises.
  • Provide direct therapy services and/or training to staff or collaterals, not only at the clinic, but at specified satellite sites, and/or off-site locations.
  • Provide continuing education/in-service training for staff and/or collaterals, as needed.
  • Act as a liaison with all other agencies and departments mutually involved in service provision to individuals.
  • Provide professional supervision to Speech Therapists.
  • Utilize any and all modalities to accomplish the desired outcome of services.
  • Complete and submit attendance and billing logs in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology with eligibility for NYS licensure/certification and physical capabilities pertinent to the above job description.
  • NYS licensure/certification (CFY completed) and physical capabilities pertinent to the above job description.
