Position Overview:
The Long-Term Acute Care Registered Nurse is responsible for the comprehensive planning and execution of both direct and indirect patient care for individuals with complex medical needs in long-term acute care environments.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Develops and implements patient care plans
+ Provides care for patients with medically intricate conditions
+ Oversees the treatment and services provided to patients
+ Accurately documents patient care plans using established nursing diagnoses, anticipated outcomes, and selected interventions
+ Maintains patient confidentiality at all times
+ Ensures a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients
+ Complies with hospital policies, procedures, and objectives to enhance patient care quality
+ Adjusts care plans based on ongoing evaluations and nursing interventions
+ Executes interventions according to established priorities and facility standards
+ Identifies and prioritizes patient care actions based on individual needs

Qualifications:
+ Active RN license in the relevant state
+ Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a long-term acute care setting preferred
+ Experience in acute rehabilitation, including ventilator care, wound management, cardiac care, and stable post-trauma recovery
+ Adheres to all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Completion of Amergis' Competency program as required
+ Current CPR certification, if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray as necessary
+ Valid Health certificate as per contract or state regulations
+ Must fulfill all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Successful completion of new hire training as applicable
+ Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
+ Strong communication skills with proficiency in English
+ Computer literacy is essential
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
