We are seeking a qualified Emergency Medicine physician to join our team in providing essential ER coverage. This role is ideal for those looking to make a significant impact in a healthcare setting.
Schedule Details:
- 12-hour shifts, primarily during nighttime hours.
- Availability of approximately 3-6 shifts monthly, with sporadic scheduling.
- Credentialing process is estimated to take 60-90 days, with expedited options for candidates with clean backgrounds.
Assignment Highlights:
- Annual ER visit volume is approximately 35.5k, averaging around 105 patients daily.
- Collaborative support staff including mid-level providers, OB, pediatrics, surgery, orthopedics, and GI specialists.
- Utilization of Meditech Expanse for electronic medical records.
- Comfort with a range of general ER cases and moderate sedation is required.
- The facility does not have a trauma designation and has a total of 18 beds.
Qualifications:
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine is mandatory.
- Possession of an active medical license in Alabama along with state-required certifications (ACLS, BLS, DEA, PALS, CSC).
Travel and Accommodations:
- All travel expenses, including rental car, flights, and lodging, will be fully covered.
