About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician II, you will work closely with our clinical care team to provide high-quality patient care, assist with medical procedures, and educate students and colleagues on veterinary medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care, including monitoring, managing, and implementing treatment plans as ordered by clinicians.
- Collaborate with administrative and clinical care team members to coordinate and prioritize patient care.
- Assist clinicians in maintaining complete medical records for all patients.
- Conduct technician appointments, coordinate with senior clinical skills technicians, and provide updates to clients.
- Teach veterinary students and student technicians in all technical aspects of patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience as a veterinary technician in a fast-paced hospital.
- Associate or bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited institution providing training in veterinary technology, veterinary nursing, or veterinary science, and one year experience at a university hospital or large-scale hospital.
- Certified Veterinary Technician in good standing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse team.
- Comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and veterinary pharmacology.
- Two or more years of experience in a specialty practice.
- Prior experience working in veterinary internal medicine.
- Credentialed as a Certified Veterinary Technician or ability to become credentialed.
- A competitive salary range of $24.30 to $33.50 per hour, based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity.
