We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at The Mice Groups, Inc. in Livermore, CA. This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate of $25-33.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure a safe working environment by following personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols.
- Review work schedules, check equipment and supplies, and prioritize tasks to meet production and facility needs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans to perform maintenance tasks.
- Complete documentation accurately and efficiently, including work orders and requisitions.
- Collaborate with other teams to meet priorities and goals, providing input on work order scheduling and corrective actions.
- Follow departmental procedures for work requests, ordering parts and supplies, and maintaining inventory levels.
- Work independently and make decisions in the absence of supervision.
- Interact effectively with other departments, peers, and supervisors to achieve common goals.
- Determine optimal parts inventory levels by reducing usage through preventive maintenance and root cause analysis.
- Be available for weekend work or overtime as required by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- Technical degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of technical language, lubrications, greases, and oils for packaging equipment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Knowledge of industrial wiring methods, national electrical code (NEC) standards, and international electrical code (IEC) color code.
