This role is part of our Technical Ceramics business, which engineers high-performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components, and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team in San Juan Del Rio, Mexico. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for directing our accounting functions, managing staff, and maintaining accounting policies, practices, and procedures. You will also work closely with our global finance teams to ensure coordination on processes, information sharing, receivables collection, supplier payments, and other business-critical functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for all operational accounting functions, including cost accounting, variance analysis, working capital control, and more.
  • Coordinating with central finance teams to ensure legal and statutory compliance and tax efficiency for the San Juan Del Rio Site.
  • Working with Site Managers to review cost variances and assist in developing mitigation plans.
  • Preparing reports summarizing and forecasting company business activity and financial position.
  • Preparing forecasts and annual budgets that support business needs and dovetail with accounting processes.
  • Ensuring robust internal controls for compliance with financial regulations and group policies.
  • Reconciling and controlling the balance sheet, ensuring accurate inventory valuation and fixed asset register maintenance.
  • Preparing company reporting packs and interfacing with external and internal auditors.
  • Liaising with external agencies and Morgan's specialists, including tax and insurance.
  • Directing external audits of company accounts and preparing reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Participating in annual physical inventory and determining level of participation in quarterly inventory.
  • Overseeing finance record retention and archival/shipment to storage and electronic finance records cataloguing.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Five years plus related experience/training.
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required, with ability to speak English at an intermediate or above level required.
  • Experience of ownership of financial reporting and control working for a global multinational company.
  • Demonstrable significant experience of operational/manufacturing finance.
  • Ability to advise on operational and strategic financial matters.
  • Highly analytical.
  • Preferred knowledge of Microsoft D365, Power BI, and Excel.

Estimated Salary

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
