Job Description

This position involves leading environmental programs (e.g., drinking water, wastewater, pollution prevention, spill response, hazardous waste) to recommend or initiate corrective actions for compliance, as needed. You will assess environmental program processes and recommend solutions or improvements. The work requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess environmental program processes and recommend solutions or improvements.
  • Lead environmental programs (e.g., drinking water, wastewater, pollution prevention, spill response, hazardous waste) to recommend or initiate corrective actions for compliance, as needed.
  • Negotiate Government system objectives and terms and conditions to obtain the best value for the Government.
  • Develop projects for study or design and construction from project inception through completion.
  • Conduct internal/external Environmental Management System (EMS) and compliance audits to ensure compliance with all Federal regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate resolving issues related to various environmental programs such as drinking water system compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), and wastewater and storm water system and permit compliance with the Clean Water Act (CWA).
