Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager RN to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our healthcare leadership team, you will be responsible for managing activities, workflow, and nursing resources for one or more assigned specialty nursing areas.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit(s).
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s).
  • Develop and maintain quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s).
  • Monitor and adhere to budget. Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
  • Ensure a high level of associate, patient, and physician satisfaction.
  • Conduct hiring, training, directing, counseling, development, and evaluating of staff.
Requirements

For this role, we require:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN, MSN strongly preferred.
  • RNC certification strongly preferred.
  • BLS/NRP.
  • 3-5 years of leadership strongly preferred.
