Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - King City

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at HexaQuEST Health, Inc. in King City, California.

Job Summary:

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced nursing care and physician support to pediatric patients in our treatment setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide care to infant, child, or adolescent patients in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions.
  • Obtain patient history, screen patients to ensure appropriate physical/mental development, administer immunizations, order tests or scans, diagnose illnesses, prescribe medicines, and outline and monitor courses of treatment.
  • Partner with physicians in the development of care plans and advise physician in changes of patient status.
  • Assist patients in the management of chronic illnesses and promote health and wellness.
  • Perform school or extra-curricular physical examinations.
  • Adjust nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of patient medical records.
Requirements:
  • Requires an advanced degree in nursing (MSN or DNP), RN and NP licensure, and 2 to 4 years of related experience.
  • Current License as Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner with the Board of Registered Nursing in the State of California.
  • Required passing of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Boards exam.
  • Successful completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program of study which conforms to the Board's educational standards set forth in the California Code of Regulations Section 1484 for California graduates only.
  • Current certification by one of the following boards: the American Nurses Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board or National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Nursing Specialties, or American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
  • Current AHA BLS certified.
  • Current AHA ACLS certified (if submitting privileges for inpatient setting).
