Location: Red Bluff, California

About the Role:

  • This is a locums job opportunity with a start date of ASAP and an ongoing assignment for a year.
  • You will be working Monday-Thursday, 7:00AM-5:30PM with night call, then 24 hour remote call coverage on Fridays-Sundays.

Requirements:

  • Board Certification in Oncology and Hematology is preferred but Board Eligible candidates will also be considered.
  • California state license is required.
  • Medical Oncology Fellowship is required.
  • Other certifications include California DEA, BLS, ACLS, and a malpractice clean file is preferred.
  • Availability at time of credentialing is also required.

About the Job:

This outpatient clinic is part of a larger healthcare system, offering a comprehensive range of services including diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment of hematology/oncology patients.

The clinic uses EMR systems, iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion), and has a dedicated support staff of 1-2 RNs, 2-MAs, 2-front office clerks, 1-quality analyst/billing, and 3 infusion RNs.

The average daily census is 15-21 patients Monday-Thursday, with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule. There are typically 10 patients per day, 1-2 being new.

Current call coverage is 24/7 each week with around 5 calls per day. The clinic has 7 infusion chairs and does not have callback hours.
