Electrical Engineer Opportunity

Fibertek is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Humanitarian Demining and Research Development Program. The successful candidate will play a vital role in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge electrical systems and technologies that enhance our demining capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems and components for advanced demining technologies, including sensors, robotics, and communication systems.
  • Conduct research to identify and integrate new technologies and methodologies that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of mine and UXO detection.
  • Perform rigorous testing and evaluation of electrical systems to ensure reliability and performance in diverse and challenging environments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions for humanitarian demining.
  • Provide technical support and expertise during field deployments to ensure the successful implementation and operation of demining technologies.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-10 years relevant job experience.
  • Proven experience in the design and development of electrical systems, preferably in the context of sensors and robotics.
  • Familiarity with demining technologies or similar applications is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and experience with hardware description languages (HDLs) like VHDL or Verilog.
  • Knowledge of signal processing, circuit design, and embedded systems.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel for field deployments and collaborations as needed.
