We are seeking a highly motivated Custodian II to join our team at Richmond Public Schools. As a Custodian II, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe school environment by performing various cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Assist in stripping and waxing floors as assigned.
  • Collect and empty trash receptacles, and transport large receptacles to outdoor units.
  • Maintain a clean and safe school environment by performing necessary grounds maintenance.
  • Assist with minor repairs to the interior, furnishings, and environmental equipment in the school building.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of experience in public building custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping work.
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work.
