Overview
We are in search of a talented and driven Spark Scala Engineer to enhance our innovative team. In this role, you will be pivotal in the architecture, development, deployment, and refinement of data processing applications.
Key Duties:
• Design and sustain data processing applications utilizing Spark and Scala.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ascertain data needs and devise effective solutions.
• Apply test-driven deployment methodologies to boost application reliability.
• Transition artifacts from lower to higher environments ensuring seamless integration.
• Diagnose and resolve Spark performance challenges to guarantee optimal data processing.
• Engage in an agile framework, contributing to sprint planning, development, and timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Provide critical support for production processes, addressing issues and implementing fixes to meet essential business requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Proficient in Scala programming language.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Expertise in Spark, including the creation and optimization of Spark applications.
• Capability to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in Spark.
• Knowledge of design patterns and data structures for effective data processing.
• Familiarity with database concepts and SQL.
• Experience with Java and Snowflake is advantageous.
• Understanding of test-driven deployment practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with Python is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Databricks is a plus.
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies is advantageous.
