Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing clinical staff performance, coaching, mentoring, developing, and implementing clinical best practices. Additionally, it ensures state and federal compliance and provides clinical support for patient care services in an efficient and safe manner consistent with clinical best practices.

The Clinic Nursing and Quality Supervisor provides direct patient care at the top of RN scope of practice, according to individualized patient needs using the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. It coordinates patient care activities with other healthcare team members in a collegial relationship.

This role requires competence in analyzing patient data with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, spiritual, and chronological maturation process.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee clinical staff performance, coaching, mentoring, developing, and implementing clinical best practices.
  • Ensure state and federal compliance and provide clinical support for patient care services in an efficient and safe manner consistent with clinical best practices.
  • Provide direct patient care at the top of RN scope of practice, according to individualized patient needs using the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Coordinate patient care activities with other healthcare team members in a collegial relationship.
  • Analyze patient data with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, spiritual, and chronological maturation process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Associate Nursing degree with a minimum of 3 years recent RN experience.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License.
  • Washington Registered Nurse License - for locations in Washington.
  • Completion of an ONS approved Chemotherapy course, Maintain certification - Cancer Center Infusion East, Infusion, Transfusion Chemotherapy, Outpatient Transfusion.
  • Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Maintain certification - Lactation Postpartum, Postpartum Care Center.
  • 3 years RN experience managing complex patients, or successful completion of RN Ambulatory Residency program.
  • Experience providing clinical education to clinical support staff within an outpatient/ambulatory care/medical group environment, including medical assistant, nurses, and related clinical positions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an ambulatory setting.
  • 3 years Demonstrated experience with providing progressive leadership, clinical staff education, competency development and evaluation, staff training and performance evaluation.
  • 3 years experience providing patient education.
