Key Responsibilities- Provide Nursing Care: Administer professional services and provide care consistent with allowing residents to attain or maintain their highest practicable physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Admit, Transfer, and Discharge Residents: Admit, transfer, and discharge residents in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Orient New Residents/Families: Orient new residents/families as necessary.
- Give/Receive Nursing Reports: Give/receive nursing reports upon beginning and ending of assigned shift.
- Maintain Unit Area: Assure that the unit area is maintained in a clean and safe manner for resident comfort and convenience.
- Conduct Daily Resident Rounds: Conduct daily resident rounds to observe the resident's physical and emotional status.
- Collect Clinical Data: Collect clinical data and reports significant clinical findings according to policy.
- Perform Manual and Technical Skills: Perform manual and technical skills according to the scope of practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Record Care Information: Record care information accurately, timely, and concisely.
- Develop, Review, and Update Plans of Care: Assist in developing, reviewing, revising, and updating resident Plans of Care as indicated.
- Participate in Quality Assurance: Participate in the facility's Quality Assurance (QA) program as requested or needed.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or an approved LVN program.
- Current Nursing Licensure: Current nursing licensure in good standing with the State licensing board.
- Strong Communication and Organizational Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to Provide Quality Patient Care: Ability to provide quality patient care in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to Identify and Report Problems: Ability to identify and report problems, use initiative, and good judgment to reach quality decisions.
- Comprehensive Knowledge of Nursing Principles and Practices: Comprehensive knowledge of applicable nursing principles and practices to ensure the quality of care standards for residents are.
