We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Automotive Repair Specialist. Key Responsibilities:
1. Inspect vehicles to diagnose issues and, when necessary, consult with the Shop Foreman or Service Advisor regarding the extent of damage or malfunction.
2. Communicate additional service needs to the Service Advisor for customer discussions.
3. Provide labor time estimates for each task to the Service Advisor.
4. Monitor repair durations and keep the Service Advisor informed to ensure customers are updated on their vehicle's status.
5. Utilize dealership computer systems and tools effectively.
6. Adhere to OSHA regulations and safety standards.
7. Stay current with dealership and manufacturer training and certifications.
8. Keep informed about recalls and service bulletins.
9. Follow established protocols for diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
10. Accurately document all critical information in Repair Orders and notes.
11. Comply with Federal, State, and Local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal.
12. Attend departmental meetings as required.
13. Maintain a professional appearance and organized workspace.
14. Exhibit strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
15. Uphold honesty and integrity in all job functions.
16. Follow all company policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.
Qualifications:
1. A valid, unrestricted driver's license (must be insurable).
2. Maintain a clean and safe driving record.
3. Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug tests and background checks.
4. Proficient in reading and understanding instructions in English.
Physical Demands:
The physical requirements for this position include regular sitting, using hands for tasks, and effective communication. The role also involves frequent standing and walking, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
