Job Title: Staff Services Manager I


Description:


The State Teachers' Retirement System is seeking a highly skilled Staff Services Manager I to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for operational activities and will work closely with the Member Service Center (MSC) Manager and Pension2 Development Managers.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Operate as the Assistant MSC Manager and Defined Contribution hybrid specialist.
  • Perform a wide variety of complex tasks associated with the operational activities of the MSC.
  • Exercise discretion, diplomacy, confidentiality, leadership, and initiative while taking independent action to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain effective, positive, collaborative working relationships with peers, leaders, team members, and key stakeholders.
  • Foster positive interactions with staff at all levels through well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborate with Pension and benefits programs, defined contribution plans, 403(b) and 457(b), mutual funds or annuity type products.

Requirements:



  • Leadership Experience.
  • Experience maintaining effective, positive, collaborative working relationships with peers, leaders, team members, and key stakeholders.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills that display self-awareness and foster positive interactions with staff at all levels.
  • Experience with Pension and benefits programs, defined contribution plans, 403(b) and 457(b), mutual funds or annuity type products.
  • Ability to enable the process of change and transition while helping others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Experience with public speaking and presenting information to various audiences.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and sessions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and across divisions and units.
