Strategic HR Leader for Manufacturing Excellence

We are seeking a seasoned HR professional to join our team at Perdue Foods as the Director of Human Resources. Based at our Corporate HQ in Salisbury, MD, this role will oversee HR management and department operations to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Job SummaryThis is a strategic business partner role that requires a deep understanding of employment law, OSHA, Immigration, ERISA, Title VII, FLSA, and FMLA. The ideal candidate will have experience managing direct reports, utilizing HRIS systems, and implementing new ideas to advance HR practices and efficiencies.
The salary range for this position is $143,000 - $215,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, with an annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). In addition to the base salary, Perdue offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/Rx, 401(k) with employer match after 1 year, critical illness, accident insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, optional group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability protection, flexible spending accounts, and paid time off.

Responsibilities- Act as a strategic business partner to Perdue Foods Manufacturing Operations leadership team
- Assist in planning, goal setting, development, and execution of business strategic plans, and meeting people, product, planet, and profitability goals
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures
- Implement new ideas/concepts to advance HR practices and efficiencies
- Work with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure that Compensation, Benefits, Wellness, Learning/Development, and HRIS activities are supported
- Utilize HRIS and other tools (Power BI) to generate data to be used to analyze and develop action plans to improve staffing, retention, and manpower
- Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team, fostering their professional development and growth
- Maintain proficiency in all current employee-related laws, including ADA, FMLA, Sexual Harassment, Title VII, etc.
- Ensure process controls are in place to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations
- Participate in special projects as assigned
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business Administration/Human Resources with minimum of 12 years of increasing responsibility and at least 10 years in a multi-site manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate must also have:
- Knowledge of employment law, OSHA, Immigration, ERISA, Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, and other laws and regulations
- Experience with Human Resource Information Systems. SAP HCM is a major plus
- Ability to travel 25% to other facilities
- Experience managing direct reports
