Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Activity Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team at Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health. As a member of our team, you will provide therapeutic activity services to adult and adolescent patients under our care for emotional or substance abuse problems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement therapeutic activity programs to promote patient engagement and well-being
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on mental health and substance use disorders
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop strategies for improvement
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, occupational therapy)
  • Certification or registration preferred
  • One year of inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
  • CPI/CPR certification required
