Job Overview

The Surgical Progressive Care Nurse plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care to patients with complex medical needs. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with medical providers and caregivers to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient response, and take action in the event of an unintended response.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of nursing models and protocols, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. You must also have a current RN license, BSN degree, and relevant experience in critical care nursing.
