Santa Rosa Post Acute - Full Time Registered Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Santa Rosa Post Acute. As a full-time RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility. This includes developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures, ensuring that reference material is current, and making written and oral reports to the Director as necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities
  • Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures
  • Ensure that reference material is current and recommend written material to assist the nursing service department
  • Make written and oral reports to the Director as necessary
  • Periodically review the department's policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc.
  • Make recommendations for revisions to the Director
  • Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services
  • Ensure that all nursing service personnel are in compliance with their respective job descriptions
  • Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the facility's quality assurance program for the nursing service department
  • Participate in facility surveys made by authorized government agencies
  • Review the resident's written discharge plan and participate in updating it as required
  • Assist the Director in planning the nursing services portion of the resident's discharge plan
  • Meet with the nursing staff and support personnel to plan the department's services, programs, and activities
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
  • Complete accident/incident reports as necessary
  • Interpret the department's policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies
  • Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid state license and CPR certification
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to react decisively in emergency situations
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Vineyard Post Acute is looking for someone who is passionate about the elderly and can be responsible for the daily care of our residents
