The Paint Technician is responsible for producing high-quality parts according to the instructions outlined in the Shop Order and part drawings. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work from engineering prototype drawings when necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Apply the appropriate powder paints to parts.
- Ensure proper masking is applied, with careful attention to first-piece checks by QA personnel or approved shop employees.
- Accurately complete the Shop Order, paying attention to part quantities.
- Ensure parts are properly stored and labeled after painting and demasking.
- Maintain a clean and organized paint area, free from dust and debris.
- Keep paint inventories organized and easily accessible.
- Collaborate with Fabrication Manager to recommend template replacements and special templates for mask operations.
- Work with Pem press techs and Dip techs to ensure all jobs meet quality standards.
A 2-year technical degree is preferred, but not required. A high school diploma or GED equivalent and relevant work experience are also acceptable. The ideal candidate will possess proficient skills in electrical and/or mechanical assemblies, excellent eye-hand dexterity, and a willingness to work in a cross-departmental manner.
Additional NotesThis is a day shift position, operating from 5am to 3pm.
