Dishroom Attendant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Dishroom Attendant to join our team at Midwood Smokehouse in Columbia, SC. As a Dishroom Attendant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our kitchen.

Salary: $13 - $14 per hour depending on availability.

Job Responsibilities:

• Load, run, and unload the dish machine, ensuring it is clean and functioning properly.
• Maintain clean silverware for the dining room.
• Monitor the dish machine's wash cycle to ensure its sanitary and effective operation.
• Report any issues or problems immediately.
• Handle dishes carefully to prevent breakage.
• Familiarize yourself with proper rules of hygiene and food safety.
• Assist with filling shifts as needed to maintain restaurant operations.

Requirements:

• Focused individual with attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with colleagues.
• Able to work in a loud environment and stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds (approximately 5 medium bowling balls).
• Awareness of workplace safety protocols.
