Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Assistant / Monitor Tech PRN to join our team at Ashley Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support services under the direction of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform continual surveillance of multiple monitors to ensure accurate and timely patient care.
  • Identify significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervene appropriately, correcting for artifacts as needed.
  • Report abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Test equipment for proper working order and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
  • Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
  • Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Assist with maintaining patient rooms and common areas in a clean and orderly condition.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Nurse Assistant certification within 6 months
  • Current BLS certification within 6 months
