Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Supervisor to join our team at Saratoga Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and evaluating the delivery of services provided by Social Workers and the Coordinator of Case Management. This role requires strong leadership and administrative skills, as well as the ability to ensure that therapeutic services and support are provided to patients and family members in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision: Provide regular clinical supervision to Social Work staff and the Coordinator of Case Management, as well as administrative supervision to Mental Health Social Workers and the Coordinator of Case Management.
  • Program Development: Lead the development and implementation of therapy services and group programs, ensuring that they are based on evidence-based models of care.
  • Staffing: Lead the hiring, selection, training, evaluation, and management of Social Workers and other Behavioral Health Clinicians.
  • Leadership: Participate in the leadership of the Mental Health Unit, representing the unit on various committees and councils as needed.
  • Assessments: Complete Psychosocial Assessments as needed, and provide direct psychotherapy services to a small caseload on an as needed basis.
  • Multidisciplinary Teamwork: Participate in the development of the treatment plan as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Community Resources and Relationship Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with community agencies, and develop and maintain a current resource directory for support services.

Requirements:
  • LCSW required.
  • Minimum five years' experience in medical social work in an ambulatory and/or inpatient setting with at-risk patients.
  • Knowledge of available community resources and the ability to evaluate resources and make appropriate referrals.
  • Knowledge of health-related financial assistance, including Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current license as a New York State certified social worker.
  • Must be trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or complete CPI training within 6 months of hire date.
