Job Summary:

The Laurels of Goshen is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Assistant Director of Nursing. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in planning, coordinating, and managing the nursing department.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Assist the Director of Nursing in developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of care and service to our guests.
  • Staff Development: Aid in the development and implementation of staff training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff.
  • Guest Care: Assist in the development and implementation of guest care plans to ensure the unique needs of each guest are met.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain current knowledge of applicable managed care, Medicare, and state Medicaid regulations, reimbursement systems, and methodology.
  • Communication: Foster open and effective communication among nursing staff, other departments, and guests to ensure seamless care and service.

Requirements:

  • Education: Registered Nurse (RN) with a degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing, with a focus on leadership and management.
  • Certifications: Current CPR certification.
