We are seeking a skilled Diet Clerk to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a Diet Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient menu management system.
Key Responsibilities- Distribute and collect menus to patients in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist patients in completing menu selections in compliance with prescribed diets, as assigned by dietitians.
- Offer alternatives to menu items as allowed on prescribed diets, taking into account food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
- Plan and prepare regular and modified menus based on current diet manuals.
- Prepare and distribute supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula in an accurate and timely manner.
- Manage human/donor milk and/or infant formula inventory and distribution.
- Adhere to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient's rights policies.
- Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and TJC.
- Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs.
- Follow facility and department infection-control policies and procedures.
- Participate in facility-wide and department Performance Improvement Program and on Performance Improvement teams to improve processes and patient care.
