About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinarian - Anesthesia to join our team at Texas A&M Health. As a key member of our Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, you will be responsible for providing exceptional anesthetic care to small and large animal patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement anesthesia and pain management plans for patients
  • Supervise and mentor technical staff, residents, and students in anesthesia procedures
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in anesthesia and pain management techniques
Requirements
  • DVM/VMD or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited school
  • 3 years of related experience in small animal anesthesia (residency training will fulfill this requirement)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Meticulous documentation and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a residency program in anesthesia/analgesia recognized by the AVMA
  • Working knowledge of veterinary equipment used within a veterinary teaching hospital
