Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Johns Hopkins University. The successful candidate will work on a project focused on developing cell count and cell viability reference materials for cell therapy applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field, with experience in cell culture, cell characterization assays, and data analysis. The candidate should also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct mammalian cell culture and design and conduct cell characterization assays
  • Ensure that protocols and results are well documented and prepare manuscripts for dissemination of research results
  • Present research findings at meetings and conferences and collaborate with stakeholders
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience (could include graduate school research)
  • 1 year specialized experience in cell assays (count, proliferation)
  • Familiarity with molecular methods for cell characterization and advanced cell analysis instrumentation
  • Ability to work with laboratory automation systems and develop protocols for cell analysis
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
