About the Position: We are seeking a Principal Systems Safety Professional to join our team at Seacorp Inc. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer or QA professional looking to expand their skills in system safety.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research, studies, and analyses to ensure system safety engineering requirements and specifications are incorporated into the design of systems.
  • Develop and implement safety plans and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Software discipline and 5+ years of related experience. Experience in heavyweight and/or lightweight torpedo safety, combat systems, range system safety, unmanned undersea vehicles (UUV), or battery safety is a plus.

Salary and Benefits: The estimated salary for this role is $150,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, life insurance, and paid time off.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: This position will be based in Newport, RI, and involves occasional travel. You will work in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
