Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Principal Environmental Engineer to join our team in Bellevue, WA. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with clients, principals, and client managers to lead staff in performing remediation, investigation, monitoring, facility compliance, permitting, process, and other environmental activities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow existing client accounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams for business development opportunities
  • Manage large and complex projects, providing technical leadership to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality
  • Oversee preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, technical reports, work plans, and project specifications
  • Lead project teams through site assessment, investigation, development of remedial strategy, and attainment of closure requirements under state regulations
  • Manage support staff conducting reporting and field tasks associated with environmental assessments, environmental investigations, site inspections, feasibility tests, remedial implementation, and subcontractor oversight
  • Develop proposals resulting in the award of new work with clients
  • Provide financial management of projects resulting in profitable work
  • Build and strengthen team and staff through engagement and mentorship

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geoscience, Environmental or Civil Engineering from an accredited university required, Master's preferred
  • Washington Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting with focus on investigation and remediation projects, additional experience in litigation support preferred
  • Knowledge of Washington State and Federal environmental regulations (MTCA, RCRA, TSCA, CWA, etc.)
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate with up-to-date 8-hour annual refresher course certification
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills allowing for positive internal, client, and contractor relationships

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
