About the JobWe are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Support Specialist to join our team at Community Residences. As a key member of our residential program, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities- Create a nurturing environment that fosters independence and promotes personal growth.
- Develop and implement Individual Plans of Care that address client needs and goals.
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals and report any errors or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress and incidents.
- Assist with daily living tasks, meal preparation, and household management.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Services preferred.
- At least two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Valid CT driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to lift 70-75 pounds and perform active work both inside and outside the home.
