In this role, you will assist in various areas, including boxing and general duties as assigned by management. You will operate forklifts, powered and manual hand tools, and inspect parts for quality.
Key Responsibilities- Operate forklifts and powered hand tools to assemble metal components
- Inspect parts upon completion before sending them to the next department
- Maneuver large, awkward, or heavy parts manually or with a crane
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and safe manner
- Work safely and wear required PPE for an entire shift
- Work in other areas or departments as assigned
- Good mechanical aptitude with a manufacturing background
- Experience reading blueprints is a plus
- Average math skills and simple oral communication skills
- Ability to complete simple logs and reports in English
- Physically able to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Consistently stand for the entire shift
- Ability to work with others and be a team player
This role requires daily reporting to the company's Burleson, TX branch to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified candidates with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
