We are seeking a skilled Certified Medication Aide to join our team at PruittHealth. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by assisting with medication administration, monitoring medication quantities, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with medication administration, following established protocols and procedures.
- Monitor medication quantities and make arrangements for timely procurement of refills to prevent missed doses or required monitoring.
- Accurately document assistance/administration and resident refusal of medications according to policy and professional standards.
- Follow policy, professional standards, and the law regarding storage, assistance/administration of, documentation and disposal of controlled medications.
- Immediately report and document any medication errors to the administrator or his/her designee per policy and take appropriate actions for resident's well-being.
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare providers regarding medication management.
- Assist direct care partners with their duties as part of the direct care team.
- Perform other duties as assigned that are within the scope of the CMAs practice, training, and abilities.
- CPR certification and Medication Tech certification.
- On-the-job training provided.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous medication tech experience preferred.
- Experience with long term care or assisted living population preferred.
