Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electrical systems and components for simulation and training applications.
- Conduct electrical analysis and characterization, including AC and DC power budgets and part specification.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, cable drawings, parts lists, and wire lists.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical design is appropriate for the project/product design approach.
- Participate in integration and test of completed designs and sub-systems.
- Report status relating to technical performance, cost, and schedule for assigned scope of work.
- Provide support for customer reviews and meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience, or 6 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with electrical analysis & characterization, AC & DC power budgets, and part specification.
- Experience with technical documentation such as schematics, cable drawings, parts lists, and wire lists.
- Proficient with AutoCAD or other Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools for electrical schematic capture and electrical design documentation.
- Proficient utilizing MS Office Applications / Office 365.
- Training Simulator Engineering Design Experience.
- Ability to quickly change focus between high-level concepts and low-level details.
- Self-motivated, able to organize, manage, and complete assignments on time.
- A well-developed habit of verifying work for accuracy prior to submission for review by others.
- Ability to clearly communicate with co-workers and customers both written and verbally.
