About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal UI Engineer Software to join our NetSec UI team at Palo Alto Networks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative UI solutions that empower our customers to do their best work.

As a Principal UI Engineer Software, you will collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and UI engineers to create cutting-edge UI and data visualization components/modules. You will lead engineering best practices, coach and mentor team members, architect, design, and implement application features, introduce new tools and libraries, and help solve the most challenging technical problems within the engineering UI team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver innovative UI solutions that empower our customers to do their best work.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and UI engineers to create cutting-edge UI and data visualization components/modules.
  • Lead engineering best practices, coach and mentor team members, architect, design, and implement application features.
  • Introduce new tools and libraries, and help solve the most challenging technical problems within the engineering UI team.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent military experience required.
  • Minimum 8 years of related programming experience required.
  • Expertise in building web-based GUI development with excellent ReactJS, TypeScript, and JavaScript programming skills.
  • Experience with modern web frameworks and build tools such as React, Redux, Hooks, Webpack, Storybook, and npm/yarn.
  • Experience with CSS/SCSS, AG Grid, and visualization libraries such as Highcharts.
  • Experience with creating responsive web applications.
  • Ability to work well with a group of senior and junior engineers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with UI test frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, react-testing-library, Mocha.
  • Experience with client-side modern build tools, and CI/CD.
  • Experience with Git Version Control and Linux environments.
