Job Summary

El Proyecto del Barrio Inc is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide high-quality therapeutic services to patients in need of substance abuse and mental health treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one therapeutic services to patients, including individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with the patient's care team, connecting patients with internal and external resources and assessing progress.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and provide diagnostic reports as needed.
  • Assist with parenting assessments, evaluating a parent's strengths, areas of concern, and ability to provide a safe and stable environment for their child(ren).
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records on patients and testify in court as needed.
  • Supervise and evaluate interns receiving clinical hours at our agency, as applicable.
Requirements:
  • Must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 2-3 years of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and establish priorities.
  • Strong understanding of parenting and child development issues, as well as experience working with culturally and racially diverse populations in lower socio-economic conditions.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and the general public.
  • Knowledge of Screening, Brief Intervention, Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) assessment is a plus.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must possess a dependable automobile, fully insured, and a valid California Driver's License.
  • Must submit to and pass a drug test and a criminal background clearance as a condition of employment.
  • Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster, MMR, TDAP, and Hepatitis B vaccines, and recent TB test.
  • BLS/CPR certification is required.
