We are seeking a highly skilled North Strand ED PRN Registered Nurse to join our team at Grand Strand Medical Center. As a member of our Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in providing timely and compassionate care to patients of all ages.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Triage, assess, and treat patients presenting for emergency care">
  • Document pertinent nursing notes to reflect changes in condition, transfers, and discharges">
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders">
  • Respond to incoming telephone calls and triage as needed">
  • Manage efficient throughput by understanding and utilizing all care zones, including triage, rapid treatment area, carepath, pediatric ER, trauma, and behavioral health">
  • Coordinate and triage incoming ambulance traffic">
  • Work closely with the primary ED attending to manage patient care">
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the Emergency Severity Index 5-level triage algorithm">
  • Provide critical care and serve as a resource nurse for trauma cases">
  • Educate patients and their families regarding medications, procedures, and treatments">

Requirements and Qualifications

  • ">
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited school of Nursing is required">
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state where you practice, or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license">
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is mandatory">
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred but must be obtained within 12 months of hire/transfer date">
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is also preferred but must be acquired within 12 months of employment">
  • At least one year of previous experience as an emergency Registered Nurse is essential">
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, along with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care">
