Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at the City of Milbank SD. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will provide exceptional customer service to our clients and ensure the smooth operation of our front desk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage the front desk, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and handling correspondence.
  • Process transactions, including accepting payments and processing membership applications.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Assist with special projects and events as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of general clerical or customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications.
  • First Aid and CPR certification a plus.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, working in a standard office setting with moderate to high noise levels. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
