Job Summary

This role is responsible for enrolling and completing the Paragon training program, a 15-week virtual learning experience that teaches the fundamentals of bathing and grooming, as well as safety, pet first aid, and CPR.

The Grooming Technician will learn and perform a combination of duties, including safe pet handling, bathing, drying, brushing, and combing various coat types, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and basic clipper techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Successfully enroll and complete the Paragon training program within the required timeline.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a safe and clean environment for pets.
  • Assist in generating business by calling existing and new customers, scheduling appointments, and verifying vaccinations.
  • Maintain accurate records of pet clients, including services provided and vaccination records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work with dogs and cats, demonstrating patience and compassion.
  • Must be able to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and customers.
Working Conditions

The working environment is favorable, with moderate noise levels. Exposure to sharp grooming instruments, perfumed shampoos and soaps, pets, and pet waste is possible. Ability to stand and maintain a stationary position for up to 8 hours while grooming animals is required.
