Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for dismantling, repairing, or replacing defective parts, and reassembling machinery using machinist's tools, chain hoists, and steel rollers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install ship machinery, such as propelling machinery and steering gear, working from blueprints and using hand tools, calipers, and micrometers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of machine operation and repair
  • Ability to work from blueprints and technical drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
Salary

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
