Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at a leading healthcare facility in Springfield, Massachusetts.

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions using advanced nuclear medicine techniques. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to utilize specialized equipment to prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, creating precise images that are vital for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and therapeutic purposes.
  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET, SPECT, and other specialized scans.
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to interpret images and provide accurate diagnostic information.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, documenting all procedures.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in nuclear medicine technology and best practices through continuous education.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
  • Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or ARRT (N).
  • Proficiency in nuclear medicine safety protocols and imaging techniques.
  • Strong understanding of radiopharmaceuticals and their use in diagnostic imaging.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient safety and providing high-quality care.
