About the Role

Fleet Farm is seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager to lead our store operations and drive business growth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of store operations, including team management, customer service, store readiness, execution, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team of retail professionals, including training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met, including advocating for customer needs and developing strategies to address opportunities.
  • Store Readiness: Oversee the development and execution of individual development plans for each team member, ensuring all store areas are staffed according to budget and maximized for customer needs.
  • Execution: Continually monitor store wage and expense control programs, identify variances, and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Profitability: Drive sales by using superior merchandising skills to ensure the best visual placement of product, and promote Fleet Farm's customer loyalty program, credit card, and other company initiatives.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 years of retail management experience in a Big Box setting, with a proven ability to lead, coach, and build relationships with subordinates, peers, and Corporate partners.
  • Skills: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and use logic, experience, and analytics to accomplish business and personal goals.
