About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Adventure Medic to join our team for seasonal events in the Portland and Seattle metro areas. As an essential member of our Events Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of participants in various outdoor events.

Job Summary

This is a seasonal position working 30-40 hours per week during the event season, with mandatory monthly training sessions and opportunities for certification classes and discounts after a probationary period. You will be responsible for setting up events, administering BLS emergency and clinical care, maintaining equipment, operating communication devices, and collaborating with event coordinators, volunteers, and local fire departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up for events, including towing event trailers, onsite tent/clinic setup, vehicle operation, and radio communication
  • Administer BLS emergency and clinical care based on your level of certification
  • Maintain event trailers, vehicles, and bags stocked correctly
  • Operate communication devices such as inreach, radios, Gaia, and others utilized for events
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized station
  • Safely operate Adventure Medics vehicles, including SUVs/Trucks, ATVs, and UTVs
  • Complete event and patient paperwork accurately and efficiently before, during, and after events
  • Liaise with event coordinators, volunteers, and local fire departments professionally
  • Perform occasional maintenance on event equipment, including bikes, tents, and rescue vehicles

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current state AEMT/EMT/EMR license in good standing
  • At least one year of experience in an EMS setting
  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • I-100 and I-700 certifications
Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the requirements above, we also prefer candidates who have:

  • NREMT certification
  • EVOC certification
  • EMS licensure in a Compact State
  • ATV/UTV Operator certification
Location

This position is based in the Portland and Seattle metro areas, with events taking place throughout the region.
