Key Responsibilities:
As an MRI Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  1. Patient Engagement: Ensure accurate patient identification, gather medical history, and provide assistance to patients and their families, prioritizing patient safety and understanding.
  2. MRI Operations: Exhibit proficiency in MRI technology and human anatomy, operate MRI machines, and manage the administration of MRI contrast agents while maintaining compliance with ARRT standards.
  3. Contrast Administration: Administer oral and intravenous contrast agents to patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and verifying necessary lab values prior to administration.
  4. Image Management: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of PACS, ensuring the accurate transmission of images and data, and manage the documentation of imaging orders efficiently.
  5. Additional Duties: Uphold a clean and organized work environment, mentor new staff, and engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental operations.

Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an accredited Radiological Science program or equivalent.
Licensure: Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or eligibility for registration, with advanced certification in MRI required within the first year of employment.
Experience: Relevant education and training that equips you to perform the required tasks effectively.
