Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing the sanitation and cleaning operations at Pilgrim's to ensure compliance with USDA standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sanitation Department Oversight: Direct and manage the daily operations of the sanitation department to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Policy Enforcement: Ensure all company policies and standards are understood and enforced by sanitation employees.
  • Employee Development: Supervise, train, and develop sanitation employees to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Audit and Compliance: Conduct regular housekeeping audits to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), USDA, and FDA regulations.
  • Procedure Development: Develop sanitation procedures and protocols to improve sanitation performance and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sanitation activities, including training, audits, and compliance.
  • Collaboration: Partner with production and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations and meet plant objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in sanitation and 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED required, typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Skills: Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel), SAP experience preferred.
  • Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
