About the Role

Inpria Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Patent Engineer to join our team in Corvallis, OR. As a Patent Engineer, you will play a critical role in turning chemical innovations into strong patent applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with inventors and engineers to develop and refine patent applications.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of prior art to inform patent drafting.
  • Work closely with patent attorneys, agents, and inventors to prepare and prosecute patent applications.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, patent law changes, and technological advancements.
Requirements
  • B.S. (or equivalent experience) in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Biochemistry, or another relevant field.
  • 1+ years' experience in technical writing or patent drafting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Superb oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the U.S. patent system and laws.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of chemistry, preferably familiar with inorganic, organometallic, or metal oxide chemistry.
  • 1+ years of patent drafting experience.
