Role Summary:
The Estimating Sales Coordinator will play a crucial role in blending estimating and sales functions. This hybrid position involves a significant focus on estimating tasks, complemented by sales responsibilities. The successful candidate will manage the estimation process, review project specifications, analyze costs, and prepare detailed estimates while also handling sales correspondence and marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating (60%):
- Lead the estimation process from initiation to completion.
- Conduct on-site evaluations to gather necessary data for accurate estimates.
- Examine project specifications and architectural drawings.
- Assess cost components, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Generate comprehensive and precise cost estimates.
- Collaborate with structural engineers to create detailed repair proposals aimed at enhancing structural integrity.
Sales (10%):
- Oversee sales correspondence and follow up on potential leads.
- Execute marketing strategies to build relationships with prospective clients and contractors.
- Manage the internal sales platform effectively.
- Facilitate client meetings and site visits as necessary, including occasional travel.
- Comply with company safety protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
This full-time position typically follows a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with flexibility in hours. Some travel may be required for client meetings or site evaluations.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in the construction sector, particularly in concrete restoration or roofing, with a focus on estimating and/or sales.
- A valid driver's license and auto insurance, with a willingness to travel for project oversight and client interactions.
- 1-2 years of experience with essential computer skills, including proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Experience in customer service roles, emphasizing effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
